Studio Policies
Studio policies & what to expect
These policies help us protect your time, our artists’ schedules, and keep the studio running smoothly. If you ever have questions, please reach out before your appointment.
Appointments & deposits
- Most tattoo appointments require a non-refundable deposit to secure your spot and cover design time.
- Deposits are applied toward the final cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment.
- If you need to reschedule within the allowed window (see below), your deposit can usually be moved to a new date.
Rescheduling & cancellation
- If you need to reschedule, please contact the shop as soon as possible.
- Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in your deposit being forfeited and a new deposit required for future bookings.
- If you’re running late, call the shop—arrivals more than 15–20 minutes late may need to be rescheduled depending on the artist’s day.
Age & ID requirements
- A valid, government-issued photo ID is required for all tattoo and piercing services.
- We follow Illinois state and local regulations for minimum age requirements. Some services may be 18+ only.
- Minors (where allowed) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with matching documentation.
Health, safety & cleanliness
- If you are feeling sick, have a fever, or have a contagious condition, please contact us to reschedule.
- Let your artist know if you are pregnant, nursing, on blood thinners, or have any medical conditions that could affect healing.
- We reserve the right to decline service if we believe it is unsafe or inappropriate to tattoo or pierce at that time.
Touch-ups & healed work
- Touch-up policies may vary by artist and by piece. Your artist will explain what is included at the time of your appointment.
- Improper aftercare, heavy sun exposure, or picking at your tattoo can affect whether a touch-up is complimentary or charged.
- Please wait until your tattoo is fully healed before asking about adjustments.
Studio environment & behavior
- Harassment, hate speech, or disrespectful behavior toward artists, staff, or other clients is not tolerated.
- We may limit the number of guests you bring with you, to keep the studio comfortable and focused.
- We do not tattoo or pierce anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Payment
- Accepted payment methods will be listed at the front desk; please ask if you have specific questions.
- Tips are appreciated but never expected—if you’re happy with your experience, feel free to let your artist know in whatever way feels right for you.
Designs & references
- We do not copy other artists’ work exactly. We’re happy to use references to create something custom for you.
- Drawings and designs created by our artists remain their artwork, even when they are used as a tattoo.
- In most cases, your artist will share a design on or shortly before the day of your appointment.
Photos & social media
- We often photograph completed tattoos or piercings for portfolios and social media.
- If you’re uncomfortable being photographed or tagged, let us know—we’ll always respect your privacy.
- You’re welcome to share photos of your tattoo or piercing online and tag the artist or shop if you’d like.
